What's New in MOSO? Updates from August 11, 2025
What’s New in MOSO?
We’re excited to share the latest updates in MOSO! These improvements will be available starting August 11, 2025, and introduce a new and improved solution for managing Plans, along with an entirely new feature — the Practice Board. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new:
A New View for MOSO Plans
We’ve redesigned the Plans experience to make planning, collaboration, and follow-up easier than ever.
Dashboard Enhancements
New tab for plan invitations: In addition to your active plans, you’ll now see invitations listed at the top of your dashboard.
Quick actions: Accept or decline invitations directly using the buttons next to each plan.
Easier Navigation and Sorting
Filter and sort button: Find the right plan faster with new filtering and sorting options.
New plan creation: You can now create a plan connected to a course — or independently.
If you’re part of a course, it will be suggested when clicking “New Plan.”
Not in a course? You’ll go straight to the plan creation page.
Flexible Planning
Time/date is optional: You no longer need to set a date or time to create a plan.
Add group members easily: Use the new “Add all group members” feature to invite participants quickly.
Clear Plan Phases
A new phase indicator shows your progress: Planning → Observation → Supervision → Archive
Helpful info boxes explain what each phase means.
Change phase button is now clearly visible in the top right corner.
Plan Content Improvements
Structured content: Use Heading 1/2/3 or Paragraph to organize the content.
These styles automatically generate quick navigation in the left sidebar.
Exclusive editing mode: Users with editing access now have a protected mode to prevent simultaneous content changes.
New Plan Tools Sidebar
Manage everything without leaving the page:
Edit plan details
Manage participants and permissions
Send quick messages
Add or remove documents
Write quick plan notes
Improved Comment System
Comments and replies now appear directly under the relevant module for better clarity.
Expandable comment field: The text field can be resized horizontally for easier writing.
Tips and guidance will appear the first time you use the updated plan feature.
A Unified Experience in Workspaces
To ensure consistency across MOSO, Workspaces now share many of the same interface and functionality upgrades as Plans. This includes:
The redesigned editing toolbar
Improved comment placement under relevant modules
Quick access side panels for content and settings
Exclusive editing mode for secure collaboration
Introducing: The Practice Board
We’re proud to introduce the Practice Board — a collaborative space for every course.
Shared Space Within the Course
Each course now has its own Practice Board automatically.
The teacher decides who can post when creating the course — and can change it anytime.
Sharing and Engagement
When enabled, any course member can publish posts.
Teachers can:
Share written posts with attachments
Pin important posts to keep them at the top
All participants can reply, react, and engage in discussion.
Video Recording and Upload Improvements
We’ve upgraded the technology for video recording and uploading in the MOSO app. Videos recorded in the app are now handled in a more stable and secure way:
Videos are divided into smaller chunks, compressed, and uploaded in steps.
This significantly improves reliability and reduces the chance of upload errors.
Fixed: Interrupted Video Recording on iOS
Previously, recordings on iOS could stop if the screen locked during video capture (e.g., when recording a video comment). This issue is now resolved:
Video recording will continue even if the device auto-locks during capture.
